The production and management of technical documentation today is haphazard, time-consuming, and expensive. As embedded engineers and product innovation leaders, my Co-founder Daniel and I experienced this problem firsthand. We’d spend months and significant resources getting engineers up-to-speed on codebases and updating technical documentation so we could bring a product to market, only for those engineers to leave, the product to evolve, and the process to begin all over again. We grew frustrated with how much time and money was being wasted and how little progress could be made. It was from this frustration that Driver was born.
